About me
My name is Gosia Pawlowska and I am an integrative counsellor/psychotherapist.
I completed my counselling training at
Greenwich University and was awarded a master degree in Therapeutic Counselling. Prior to my counsellor's training, I studied psychology at the
University of Lodz in Poland, where I completed master degree in Psychology with a Clinical and Health Psychology specialization.
Before becoming a therapist I have been working with young people with special education needs. In my counselling work I draw from psychodynamic, humanistic, transpersonal, cognitive and behavioral theories. I have a wide experience of working with clients with disabilities as well as those coming from different minority groups.
My own experience of emigration has made me particularly interested in a subject of cultural differences and identity.
I am a member of the
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their code of ethics.
I continue my professional training by regularly attending courses and workshops.
